Dytor 40 Mg Tablet is a diuretic which is used to control high blood pressure and edema. It is usually taken once daily, preferably in the daytime to prevent sleep disturbances. Do not take this medicine if you have a known allergy to it.

Dytor 40 Mg Tablet is a diuretic. It removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. In doing so, it causes potassium loss.

How To Take

Take Dytor 40 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dytor 40 Mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Warning

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Dytor 40 Mg Tablet. Taking Torsamide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Dytor 40 Mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.

Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Dytor 40 Mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Dytor 40 Mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

Dytor 40 Mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Dytor 40 Tablet is recommended.

However, inform your doctor if you have any kidney disease as the use of Dytor 40 Tablet should be avoided in case you are unable to pass urine or the kidney damage is due to some medicines.

Dytor 40 Mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Dytor 40 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Dytor 40 Mg Tablet is used in the treatment of edema which is a swelling due to the accumulation of fluid in the hands, feet, and ankles.

Dytor 40 Mg Tablet is used in the treatment of hypertension which is an increase in the blood pressure caused by fluid overload due to genetic and environmental factors.
