Dytor 20 Mg Tablet is a diuretic which is used to control high blood pressure and edema. It is usually taken once daily, preferably in the daytime to prevent sleep disturbances. Do not take this medicine if you have a known allergy to it.

Dytor 20 Mg Tablet treats edema that is, it reduces the presence of extra fluid that develops in the body as a result of health problems like kidney or liver disease and heart failure. Thus, the drug helps in the relief of related symptoms which may include swelling of the abdomen or hand and legs and problems with breathing. It also effectively treats hypertension, that is, high blood pressure. It is known to be a water pill, encouraging the body to create more urine so as to flush out the extra liquid and salts.

Dytor 20 Mg Tablet is mostly prescribed for daily consumption and can be taken before or after food. Patients are generally advised not to take Dytor 20 Mg Tablet about 4 hours before bedtime, as you may develop the need to frequently urinate in the middle of the night. This may interfere with your sleeping pattern.

How To Take

Take Dytor 20 Table in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dytor 20 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Warning

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Dytor 20 Mg Tablet. Taking Torsamide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.

Dytor 20 Mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.

Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor

Dytor 20 Mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Dytor 20 Mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

Dytor 20 Mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Dytor 20 Tablet is recommended.

However, inform your doctor if you have any kidney disease as the use of Dytor 20 Tablet should be avoided in case you are unable to pass urine or the kidney damage is due to some medicines.

Dytor 20 Mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Dytor 20 Mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Dytor 20 Mg Tablet is used in the treatment of edema which is a swelling due to the accumulation of fluid in the hands, feet, and ankles.

Dytor 20 Mg Tablet is used in the treatment of hypertension which is an increase in the blood pressure caused by fluid overload due to genetic and environmental factors.
