Telma 40 Mg
Telma 40 Mg helps reduce high blood pressure, thus lowering the chances of any future heart attack and stroke. It may also be used to improve the symptoms of chronic (long standing) heart failure. It helps to preserve kidney function, especially in patients with diabetes.
Telma 40 Mg may be used alone or in combination with other medicines. It is taken by mouth (orally), with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Side effects are few and uncommon with this medicine. However, dizziness may occur due to low blood pressure, particularly after the first dose.

How To Take
Take Telma 40 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Telma 40 Mg may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Breast-feeding :- Telma 40 Mg is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. Discuss all the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may prescribe a safer alternative based on your clinical condition.
Hypotension :-Symptomatic hypotension may occur in patients with volume depletion or those who treated with high dose diuretics. Correct the condition before starting Telma 40 Mg or start the treatment at reduced doses.
Hyperkalemia :-Telma 40 Mg may cause Hyperkalemia (a condition with an increase in the potassium levels in the blood). Use with caution in patients with concomitant use of potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements and in patients with impaired kidney function.
Telma 40 Mg is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Telmisartan belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs). It works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily.
