Enapril 2.5 Mg helps reduce high blood pressure, thus lowering the chances of any future heart attack and stroke. It may also be used to improve the symptoms of chronic (long standing) heart failure. It helps to preserve kidney function, especially in patients with diabetes. Enapril 2.5 Mg may be used alone or in combination with other medicines. It is taken on an empty stomach, preferably at the same time each day. Some patients may develop cough or throat irritation as a side effect while using this medicine. It may also produce dizziness initially, but this improves with time.

How To Take

Take Enapril 2.5 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Enapril 2.5 Mg is to be taken empty stomach.

Before taking Enapril 2.5 Mg, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to other ACE inhibitors (such as benazepril); or if you have any other allergies. Enapril 2.5 Mg may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.

Before using Enapril 2.5 Mg, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: history of an allergic reaction which included swelling of the face/lips/tongue/throat (angioedema), blood filtering procedures (such as LDL apheresis, dialysis), high level of potassium in the blood.

Enapril 2.5 Mg drug may make you dizzy. Alcohol or marijuana (cannabis) can make you more dizzy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs alertness until you can do it safely. Limit alcoholic beverages. Talk to your doctor if you are using marijuana (cannabis).

To reduce the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.

Uses

Enapril 2.5 Mg is an ACE inhibitor. ACE stands for angiotensin converting enzyme. Enapril 2.5 Mg is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children who are at least 1 month old. Enapril 2.5 Mg is also used to treat congestive heart failure (CHF).
