Pramipex 0.125 Mg Tablet is a dopamine agonist. It treats the signs and symptoms associated with Parkinson disease. It is also used as a remedy for restless legs syndrome (RLS). It improves cases of stiffness, shakiness and unsteadiness. This medication functions by restoring the dopamine balance in the brain.

On using Pramipex 0.125 Mg Tablet you may experience side effects such as nausea, vomiting, trouble with sleeping/ swallowing, increased urge to urinate, diarrhoea, swelling, cough, fatigue, headache, constipation, drying of the mouth, drowsiness, clouded thoughts and dizziness. Seek medical help if your reactions continue or become more severe over time.

Before using Pramipex 0.125 Mg Tablet tell your doctor if you have any allergies in general, if you are allergic to any ingredient contained within this medication, if you have low blood pressure/ heart/ kidney/ mood/ sleep disorders, irregular heartbeat, if you are taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs, you are pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby or if you are alcoholic.

How To Take

Read the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start taking Pramipex 0.125 Mg Tablet and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Take Pramipex 0.125 Mg Tablet by mouth with or without food, as directed by your doctor. Taking this medication with food may reduce nausea. To decrease the risk of side effects (e.g., drowsiness, low blood pressure) when you first start taking Pramipex 0.125 Mg Tablet, your doctor will slowly increase your dosage until the best dose for you is reached. Take this medication as prescribed. Do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed.

Use Pramipex 0.125 Mg Tablet regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day.

If you stop taking Pramipex 0.125 Mg Tablet for several days, you may need to increase your dose slowly back to your previous dosage. Talk with your doctor about how to restart the medication. Do not stop taking this medication without your doctor’s approval. Although very unlikely, if you suddenly stop taking this drug, withdrawal reactions may occur. Such reactions can include fever, muscle stiffness, and confusion. Report any such reactions to your doctor right away. If you have Parkinson’s disease and are stopping regular treatment with this drug, gradually reducing the dosage as directed will help prevent withdrawal reactions. Pramipex 0.125 Mg Tablet can cause dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, sweating, or fainting, especially when you stand up quickly from a sitting or lying down position. This is more likely to occur when you first start taking this drug. To reduce your risk, move slowly when you stand up. These side effects may go away over time.

You may have increased urges to gamble, binge eat, or engage in sexual behaviors while taking this drug. If this happens, tell your doctor. They may decrease your dosage or have you stop taking this drug.

Pramipex 0.125 Mg Tablet may cause you to have hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that aren’t real) or changes in your behavior. You may feel confused, agitated, or aggressive. If this happens, tell your doctor. They may decrease your dosage or have you stop taking this drug.

Pramipex 0.125 Mg Tablet is used to relieve symptoms such as difficulty with body movements, restlessness, shaking of the limbs, anxiety, poor balance, etc. associated with Parkinson’s disease.

Pramipex 0.125 Mg Tablet is used for the treatment of restless legs syndrome (RLS), a condition characterized by a constant urge to move the legs, especially when sitting or lying down during nighttime.
