Dosage also depends on your age, medical condition, gender, response to therapy, and use of interacting medicines.
Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects: unexplained bleeding, sore throat, bruising, purpura, fever, or generally feeling unwell as these symptoms may indicate that you have a blood disorder. If you experience allergic reactions to it, stop using the medicine. Other common side effects include diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, headache, rash and hives.
Pentasa 1 Gm Granules medicine should be used with caution by the elderly, patients with bleeding disorders or active stomach ulcer disease, and women who are pregnant or who are breastfeeding. Pentasa 1 Gm Granules should not be used by children under 2 years of age, patients with severe kidney or liver problems, a history of problems with sulphasalazine, or by those who have previously had hypersensitivity to any salicylate drugs.
