Nitrogesic Ointment is an effective medicine to prevent and treat chest pain (angina). Angina is caused due to the narrowing of blood vessels that carries blood to the heart muscle. Nitrogesic Ointmentis used in various forms viz. sublingual tablets, patches, sprays, injections.

How To Take
Take Nitrogesic Ointment medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, use it at the same times each day.
Cover your finger with plastic wrap, a disposable medical glove, or a finger cot. Using the measuring guide that comes with your product, squeeze out the prescribed amount of ointment onto your finger. Gently insert your finger inside the anus, up to the first finger joint. Spread the ointment around the inside of the anus. If you cannot do this because it is too painful, you may apply the ointment to the outside of the anus.
Throw away the finger covering and wash your hands after each dose. Apply this medication usually every 12 hours, for up to 3 weeks, or as directed by your doctor. Nitrogesic Ointment is not apply this medication in the eyes, mouth, or vagina.

The use of Nitrogesic Ointment medicine by pregnant women is not recommended unless necessary and the benefits outweigh the risks involved with use. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Report the incidence of all other diseases of the heart, lung, thyroid, kidney, liver etc to the doctor before receiving this medicine. All these conditions should be taken into consideration to ensure safe and effective use of this medicine.
Use of Nitrogesic Ointment medicine can cause a fall in blood pressure in general and may make you feel dizzy especially while getting up from lying or sitting position (Postural hypotension).
Use of Nitrogesic Ointment medicine can cause drowsiness and affect the ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. Refrain from performing tasks that require a high level of mental alertness after taking this medicine.
Use of Nitrogesic Ointment medicine should not be stopped abruptly as the patient is likely to experience some discomfort.
Use of Nitrogesic Ointmentmedicine to treat chest pain associated with other causes like Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart muscles) is not recommended. The pain may worsen if this medicine is used.
Nitrogesic Ointment medicine is used for the prevention and treatment of chest pain caused due to reduced blood and oxygen flow to the heart. Angina may be stable (happens after exertion and is short lasting) or unstable (happens in an unpredicted manner and is more severe and long lasting).
Nitrogesic Ointment medicine is used to control increased blood pressure while a major surgical procedure is performed on a patient.
Nitrogesic Ointment medicine is also used rectally to relieve pain caused due to anal fissures or tears on the wall of the rectum.
