Xarelto 15 Mg FC is an oral anticoagulant which helps prevent formation of harmful blood clots. It prevents the formation of blood clots in the legs, lungs, brain and heart. For the best result, take it at the same time every day. It can increase the risk of bleeding, so be careful while shaving, cutting nails, using sharp objects or enganging in contact sports (e.g. football, wresling). Let your doctor know if you see blood in your vomits, urine or stool (black or tarry). Unlike other anticoagulant, regular blood test (PT-INR) is not required while taking this medicine.

How to Take

Take Xarelto 15 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Xarelto 15 Mg FC is to be taken with food.

Xarelto 15 Mg is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may prescribe a safer alternative based on your clinical condition.

Xarelto 15 Mg is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding or to discontinue the medicine based on your clinical condition.

Xarelto 15 Mg is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Xarelto 15 Mg should be stopped at least 24 hours prior to undergoing any surgical procedure. It should be restarted as soon as hemodynamic stability is established following the surgical procedure. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be required for some patients both during the procedure and after the procedure based on the clinical condition.

Uses

Xarelto 15 Mg is used to reduce the risk of blood clots and stroke in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation.

Xarelto 15 Mg is used to treat blood clot formation in the blood vessels of the legs and other extremities.

Xarelto 15 Mg is used to treat blood clot formation in the blood vessels of the lungs.

Xarelto 15 Mg is used to reduce the risk of recurrent blood clot formation in the blood vessels of the legs and other extremities in patients who are at risk of recurrent deep vein thrombosis following at least 6 months of standard anticoagulant treatment.

Xarelto 15 Mg is used to reduce the risk of recurrent blood clot formation in the blood vessels of the lungs in patients who are at risk of a recurrent pulmonary embolism following at least 6 months of standard anticoagulant treatment.

Xarelto 15 Mg is used to prevent blood clot formation in patients who have undergone hip or knee replacement surgery.
