Xarelto 10 Mg is an anticoagulant that is used to treat and prevent blood clots in conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and atrial fibrillation (AFib). Close monitoring of liver and kidney function is recommended during treatment with this medicine. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age.

How to Take

Take Xarelto 10 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Xarelto 10 Mg is to be taken with food.

Xarelto 10 Mg is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding or to discontinue the medicine based on your clinical condition.

Xarelto 10 Mg is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Xarelto 10 Mg should be stopped at least 24 hours prior to undergoing any surgical procedure. It should be restarted as soon as hemodynamic stability is established following the surgical procedure. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be required for some patients both during the procedure and after the procedure based on the clinical condition.

Uses

Xarelto 10 Mg is used to reduce the risk of blood clots and stroke in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation.

Xarelto 10 Mg is used to treat blood clot formation in the blood vessels of the legs and other extremities.

Xarelto 10 Mg is used to treat blood clot formation in the blood vessels of the lungs.

Xarelto 10 Mg is used to reduce the risk of recurrent blood clot formation in the blood vessels of the legs and other extremities in patients who are at risk of recurrent deep vein thrombosis following at least 6 months of standard anticoagulant treatment.

Xarelto 10 Mg is used to reduce the risk of recurrent blood clot formation in the blood vessels of the lungs in patients who are at risk of a recurrent pulmonary embolism following at least 6 months of standard anticoagulant treatment.

Xarelto 10 Mg is used to prevent blood clot formation in patients who have undergone hip or knee replacement surgery.
