Votrient 400 Mg is used to treat kidney cancer and other soft tissue sarcomas. It functions by decreasing the blood supply to the cancerous cells, thereby suppressing their growth. This medication is administered orally, and is available in the form of a tablet.

Votrient 400 Mg could possibly cause liver damage. While you are on this medication, your doctor will initially ask you to conduct a liver test every two weeks. Immediately notify your doctor if you suddenly develop the following symptoms of liver damage: persistent nausea or vomiting, yellowing of the eyes, abdominal pain and darkened stools or urine. This medication must not be used in children below 2 years of age, due to risk of serious adverse effects.

How To Take

Take Votrient 400 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Votrient 400 Mg is to be taken empty stomach.

Before starting Votrient 400 Mg treatment, make sure you tell your doctor about any other medications you are taking (including prescription, over-the-counter, vitamins, herbal remedies, etc.). While taking Votrient 400 Mg, ask your doctor before you take   aspirin or products containing aspirin.

While taking Votrient 400 Mg, do not receive any kind of immunization or vaccination without your doctor’s approval.

Inform your health care professional if you are pregnant or may be pregnant prior to starting this treatment. Pregnancy category D (may be hazardous to the fetus. Women who are pregnant or become pregnant must be advised of the potential hazard to the fetus.)

For both men and women: Use contraceptives and do not conceive a child (get pregnant) while taking Votrient 400 Mg. Barrier methods of contraception such as condoms are recommended.

Do not breast feed while taking Votrient 400 Mg

Votrient 400 Mg is used to treat people with Advanced Renal cell cancer (RCC) &Advanced Soft tissue sarcoma (STS) who have received chemotherapy in the past.
