Valzaar 80 Mg helps reduce high blood pressure, thus lowering the chances of any future heart attack and stroke. It may also be used to improve the symptoms of chronic (long standing) heart failure. It helps to preserve kidney function, especially in patients with diabetes. This medicine may be used alone or in combination with other medicines. It is taken by mouth (orally), with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Side effects are few and uncommon with this medicine. However, dizziness may occur due to low blood pressure, particularly after the first dose.

How To Take

Take Valzaar 80 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Valzaar 80 Mg may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Warning

You should not use Valzaar 80 Mg if you are allergic to valsartan. Before using Generic Diovan, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs, or if you have:

Kidney disease

Liver disease

Congestive heart failure

if you are dehydrated

If you have any of these conditions, you may need a dose adjustment or special tests to safely take this medication.

Do not use potassium supplements or salt substitutes while you are taking this medicine, unless your doctor has told you to. Avoid getting up too fast from a sitting or lying position, or you may feel dizzy. Get up slowly and steady yourself to prevent a fall.

Uses

Valzaar 80 Mg is given for the treatment of high blood pressure in adults and children above 6 years of age. In adults valsartan also helps to treat heart failure. It also reduces the risk of death associated with a heart attack.
