Valcivir-1000  Mg Tablet is an antiviral agent used in the treatment of infections caused by herpes viruses such as genital herpes, cold sores, shingles (herpes zoster infection), etc. Valcivir-1000  Mg medicine does not cure herpes; it helps in preventing outbreaks of the infection and lessens the risk of the virus spreading to other people. It may also be used for the treatment of chickenpox (Varicella zoster infection).

How To Take

Take Valcivir-1000 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Valcivir-1000 Mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Pregnancy:- Valcivir-1000 Mg is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking tValcivir-1000  Mg medicine.

Breast-feeding:- Valcivir-1000 Mg is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking Valcivir-1000  Mg  medicine.

Blood clots and kidney failure:- Valcivir-1000 Mg should be used with extreme caution due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects such as blood clots and kidney failure. This risk is especially higher in patients suffering from HIV infection, patients with a history of kidney diseases, as well as in the elderly patients. Close monitoring of clinical condition, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Driving or Operating Machinery:- Valcivir-1000 Mg may cause symptoms such as blurred vision, dizziness, drowsiness, etc. in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

Uses

Valcivir-1000 Mg is used to treat ascariasis, an infection of the small intestine caused by Ascaris lumbricoides (giant roundworm).

Valcivir-1000 Mg is used to treat the mixed infections caused by Ascaris lumbricoides (giant roundworms) and hookworms.

Valcivir-1000 Mg is used to treat intestinal infections caused by hookworms.
