Triluma Cream

Triluma Cream is a combination of three medicines: Hydroquinone, Tretinoin and Fluocinolone acetonide which treat melasma (dark spots on skin). Hydroquinone is a skin lightening medicine. It reduces the amount of a skin pigment (melanin) that causes darkening of skin. Tretinoin is a form of vitamin A that helps the skin to renew itself more quickly. Fluocinolone acetonide is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy.

Drug = Hydroquinone + Tretinoin + Fluocinolone acetonide

Strength = 4% + 0.05% + 0.01%

How To Take      

Triluma Cream is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Pregnancy: Triluma Cream may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. Triluma Cream benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation: Triluma Cream is unsafe to use during lactation. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby, or the mother is suffering from a condition in which breastfeeding is not advisable.

Triluma Cream is used to treat melasma on the face. Melasma is a condition of dark patchy areas on the skin, especially on the cheeks and forehead. It sometimes occurs with hormone changes. Triluma Cream product contains 3 different kinds of medicine. Hydroquinone is a reversible skin bleaching agent. Triluma Cream is a retinoid that increases skin shedding. Fluocinolone is a medium strength corticosteroid that reduces swelling, itching, and redness.
