Hansepran 100 Mg Capsule, is a medicine used in combination with rifampicin and dapsone to treat Leprosy. Hansepran 100 Mg medicine is indicated for treatment of lepromatous leprosy including dapsone-resistant leprosy complicated by erythema nodosumleprosum. A combination drug therapy is generally used to prevent the emergence of drug resistance.

Hansepran 100 Mg Capsule, is a medicine which is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Clofazimine or any of the excipients of Clofazimine. You must tell your doctor about all medicines that you may be taking so that the doctor could fix the dosage accordingly.

How To Take

Take Hansepran 100 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Hansepran 100 Mg is to be taken with food.

Warning

Pregnancy:-Hansepran 100 Mg is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. Hansepran 100 Mg risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking Hansepran 100 Mg medicine.

Breast-feeding:- Hansepran 100 Mg is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. Discuss all the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking Hansepran 100 Mgthis medicine. If the medicine is used, close monitoring of the infant for any undesired effects is necessary. Your doctor may advise you to stop breastfeeding or to stop the medicine based on your clinical condition.

Skin discoloration:-Hansepran 100 Mg may cause orange-pink to brownish-black discoloration of skin as well as dry skin in some patients. It may also cause discoloration of conjunctivae, tears, sputum, sweat, urine, and feces. The patients should be advised regarding these effects and monitored for depression or suicidal ideation during treatment with Hansepran 100 Mg medicine.

Severe gastrointestinal symptoms:-Hansepran 100 Mg may cause severe gastrointestinal symptoms such as bowel obstruction, pain in the abdomen, gastrointestinal bleeding, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. and should be used with extreme caution in patients who have gastrointestinal problems. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Uses

Hansepran 100 Mg is used to treat leprosy, a long-term infection caused by Mycobacterium leprae or Mycobacterium lepromatosis, characterized by the loss of parts of extremities due to repeated injuries or unnoticed wounds. Hansepran 100 Mg is used in combination with rifampicin and dapsone to treat leprosy.
