Dapsone 100 Mg Tablet which is also known as diaminodiphenyl sulfone or DDS for short, is an antibiotic which is commonly used in combination with rifampicin and clofazimine for the treatment of leprosy. Dapsone 100 Mg is also used as a second-line medication for the treatment and prevention of pneumocystis pneumonia and also in the prevention of toxoplasmosis in those patients who have poor immune function. In addition,Dapsone 100 Mg is also used in the treatment of acne, dermatitis herpetiformis, and other various skin related conditions. Dapsone 100 Mg Tablet is available both topically and by mouth. Dapsone 100 Mg Tablet via the mouth was one of the first medications used in the treatment of moderate to severe acne, and is still sometimes prescribed for the treatment of severe cases.

How To Take

Take Dapsone 100 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dapsone 100 Mg may be taken with or without food, but Dapsone 100 Mg is better to take it at a fixed time.

Lactation:- Dapsone 100 Mg is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving:- Dapsone 100 Mg does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Uses

Dapsone 100 Mg Tablet is used to treat leprosy, a long-term infection caused by Mycobacterium leprae or Mycobacterium lepromatosis, characterized by the loss of parts of extremities due to repeated injuries or unnoticed wounds. Dapsone 100 Mg Tablet is used in combination with rifampicin and clofazimine to treat leprosy.

Dermatitis herpetiformis is a chronic blistering skin condition characterized by blisters filled with a watery fluid and intense itching. Dapsone 100 Mg Tablet is the primary treatment along with a gluten-free diet. With this treatment, the itching is reduced within 2-3 days.

Dapsone 100 Mg Tablet is used topically to treat acne vulgaris, a condition characterized by blackheads or whiteheads, pimples, and possible scarring.
