Tegrital 400 Mg is an anti-epiletic medicine. It is used to treat and prevent seizures and control sudden severe pain affecting the face (trigeminal neuralgia). It is important to not stop taking Tegrital 400 Mg medicine abruptly as it may increase the occurrence of fits.

How to Take

Take Tegrital 400 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tegrital 400 Mg may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Warning

Tegrital 400 Mg is not recommended for pregnant women.

Tegrital 400 Mg is recommended only if clearly needed when no safer alternative is available. Monitoring of undesired effects like discoloration of eyes and skin is necessary, drowsiness, and weight gain is necessary.

Use of Tegrital 400 Mg may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or depression. Therefore Tegrital 400 Mg medicine should be used with caution and prescription size should be limited in patients with depression or suicidal tendencies.

Tegrital 400 Mmay cause agranulocytosis and aplastic anemia. Frequent monitoring of blood cell count is necessary.
