Omez 10 Mg Tablet is used for reducing the acid content in the stomach. Omez 10 Mg drug treats duodenal or gastric ulcers, Gastro esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), inflammation of the esophagus and conditions wherein the stomach secretes excess acid. Primarily, this drug can cure all infections that are a result of the bacteria Helicobacter Pylori.

How To Take

Take Omez 10 Mg medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Omez 10 Mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Warning

Omez 10 Mg medicine can be used during pregnancy only if the benefits outweigh the risks. Omez 10 Mg medicine is not recommended for breastfeeding women. Use of Omez 10 Mg Capsule or other medicines of the same class may increase the risk of gastrointestinal infections like Clostridium Difficile-associated Diarrhea.

Omez 10 Mg Capsule may be associated with lupus (systemic and cutaneous). Signs and symptoms such as extreme tiredness, painful joints, rashes and lesions on the skin after consuming omeprazole should be reported immediately to the doctor and Omez 10 Mg Capsule should be discontinued.

Use of high dose of Omez 10 Mg Capsule for prolonged duration may increase the risk of bone fractures especially in older patients and women. Supplements like Calcium citrate and Vitamin D should be taken after consulting the doctor.

Uses

Omez 10 Mg Capsule is used in the treatment of GERD (a condition where stomach acid and contents flow back and irritate the food pipe). Omez 10 Mg Capsule is used in the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a condition where the tumor in the upper part of the small intestine will produce the excess amount of acid in the stomach.) Omez 10 Mg Capsule is used in the treatment of duodenal ulcer (a condition with open sores on the lining of the small intestine). Omez 10 Mg Capsule is used in the treatment of Erosive Esophagitis which is an inflammation of the food pipe (Esophagus).
