Omesec 20 Mg Capsule is used to lower the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It helps in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease and other conditions caused by excess acid production in the stomach. It has an advantage of once-daily dosing and should be consumed at least 1 hour before breakfast.

How To Take

Take Omesec 20 Mg medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Omesec 20 Mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Omesec 20 Mg medicine can be used during pregnancy only if the benefits outweigh the risks.Omesec 20 Mg medicine is not recommended for breastfeeding women.

Use of Omesec 20 Mg Capsule or other medicines of the same class may increase the risk of gastrointestinal infections like Clostridium Difficile-associated Diarrhea.

Omesec 20 Mg Capsule may be associated with lupus (systemic and cutaneous). Signs and symptoms such as extreme tiredness, painful joints, rashes and lesions on the skin after consuming omeprazole should be reported immediately to the doctor and Omesec 20 Mg Capsule should be discontinued.

Use of high dose of Omesec 20 Mg Capsule for prolonged duration may increase the risk of bone fractures especially in older patients and women. Supplements like Calcium citrate and Vitamin D should be taken after consulting the doctor.

Omesec 20 Mg Capsule is used in the treatment of GERD (a condition where stomach acid and contents flow back and irritate the food pipe).Omesec 20 Mg Capsule is used in the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a condition where the tumor in the upper part of the small intestine will produce the excess amount of acid in the stomach.)Omesec 20 Mg Capsule is used in the treatment of duodenal ulcer (a condition with open sores on the lining of the small intestine).
