Natclovir 250 Mg

Natclovir 250 Mg Capsule, is a prescription medication to treat Cytomegalovirus retinitis or CMV in short. CMV is a viral infection which is an inflammation in the retina of the eye in individuals with AIDS. Natclovir 250 Mg  is also used for prevention of CMV diseases in transplant recipients at a risk for CMV diseases.

Natclovir 250 Mg Capsule should not be used in case you are allergic, or you are diabetic or with liver conditions. Natclovir 250 Mg Capsule is to be avoided if one is lactating or pregnant, as it could cause birth defects at certain dose levels. Please inform your doctor about all medical conditions that you may be suffering from and any other medications that you are already taking especially zidovudine or didanosine for any drug interactions.

How To Take

Pregnancy:-Natclovir 250 Mg Capsule is not recommended for use in pregnant women except in life-threatening conditions. Discuss all the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking Natclovir 250 Mg  medicine.

Breast-feeding:- Natclovir 250 Mg Capsule is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue the medicine or to discontinue breastfeeding based on your clinical condition. Discuss all the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking Natclovir 250 Mg  medicine.

Hematologic Toxicity:-Natclovir 250 Mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with a known history of blood disorders due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition. Close monitoring of blood cell counts is necessary while receiving treatment with Natclovir 250 Mg  medicine. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Renal dysfunction:-Natclovir 250 Mg Capsule should be used with extreme caution in patients with renal diseases due to the increased risk of severe side effects. Appropriate dose adjustments may be necessary based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Impairment of Fertility:-Natclovir 250 Mg Capsule should be used with caution due to the increased risk of impairment of fertility in both men and women. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition of the patient. Do not stop the use of any medicine without consulting your doctor.

Uses

Natclovir 250 Mg Capsule is used in the treatment of Cytomegalovirus Retinitis in adults with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).

Natclovir 250 Mg Capsule is used in the prevention of Cytomegalovirus infection in patients who have undergone an organ transplantation and are at risk of CMV disease.

The topical form of Natclovir 250 Mg  medicine is used in the treatment of Acute herpetic keratitis.
