How To Take

Mesacol 800 Mg DR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Mesacol 800 Mg DR benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Mesacol 800 Mg DR is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.If you are taking Mesacol 800 Mg DR, monitor the baby for diarrhea.

Mesacol 800 Mg DR does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Mesacol 800 Mg DR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Mesacol 800 Mg DR may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Mesacol 800 Mg DR is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Uses

Mesacol 800 Mg DR are used to treat inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), which are chronic inflammatory conditions of the digestive tract that occur with alternating periods of relapse and remission.

Crohn’s disease is an autoimmune (when the immune system attacks self) IBD that causes inflammation at any point of the gastrointestinal system from the mouth to the rectum, usually in the region between the small intestine and the colon.  Ulcerative colitis is an IBD that involves inflammation of the inner lining of the colon and rectum.

Mesacol 800 Mg DR are used to relieve symptoms of ulcerative colitis, such as ulcers and open sores which cause abdominal pain, cramping and rectal bleeding; also to help maintain remission from symptoms in both ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, preventing flare-ups of the disease.
