Melgain Lotion (Decapeptide – Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor) is a topical vitiligo treatment which is made up of ten different amino acids. Melgain Lotion works by causing re-pigmentation of the skin. Patients affected by vitiligo suffer from white skin patches due to dipegmentation. The face, hands, wrists and elsewhere on the body can be affected. These symptoms occur because the condition causes the skin to lose melanin, the naturally occurring pigment which gives skin its colour.

The combination of 10 amino acids in this topical lotion is used together with other forms of treatment to restore colour to areas of skin that have lost pigmentation. A team of medical researchers established that the melanocytes (cells responsible for producing melanin) in the patch of skin affected do not produce melanin due to abnormal growth characteristics.

How To Take

Melgain Lotion is for external use only. Use Melgain Lotion medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Shake it well and apply to the area evenly.

Melgain Lotion is not always suitable for all patients. Uses

Melgain Lotion should only be applied topically as directed by a doctor. It is recommended to apply Melgain Lotion medicine at night or at least 15 minutes prior to sunlight contact. Wash the hands and the affected area thoroughly prior to applying Melgain Lotion medicine. Rub a small amount of the lotion to the affected area and gently massage it in. Wash the hands immediately unless it is part of the treated area. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the patient condition and their response to the therapy.
