Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet is used to reduce the levels of bad cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood. Along with taking this medicine, a change in diet and regular exercise is recommended. The medicine helps in reducing the long-term cardiovascular risks such as stroke, heart attacks, chest pain etc.

Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers “bad” cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises “good” cholesterol (HDL).

How To Take

Take Lipvas 20 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Warning

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet. Taking Atorvastatin with alcohol may increase the risk of liver damage.

Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.

Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.

Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.

Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Lipvas 20 Tablet is recommended.

However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.

Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet is used in the lowering of abnormally high levels of lipids in the blood.

Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet is used to reduce high levels of LDL cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood (main constituents of body fat in humans and other animals, as well as vegetable fat). It also increases the levels of high density cholesterol.

Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet is used in the lowering of triglycerides in the blood.

Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet is also used in the management of blood cholesterol and lipid levels in cases where the condition is inherited.

Lipvas 20 Mg Tablet is used in the prevention of stroke and heart attack if you are at risk due to conditions like Diabetes, Hypertension, Coronary Heart Disease etc. It is also used in people who don’t have an active disease but are exposed to multiple risk factors like smoking, age, family history of occurrence etc.
