It is generally used for treatment of people with pancreatitis having high cholestrol and triglyceride levels. It is also used to lower risks of heart attack, strokes, and other heart complications in people with high levels of cholestrol and triglyceride.

How To Take

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you

It should be taken orally

It can be swallowed with a whole glass of water

Side Effects

Allergic reaction – face, tongue or throat may start to swell up, causing difficulty in breathing (angioedema)

Peeling and blistering of the skin, mouth, eyes and genitals

Rash affecting your whole body

Muscle weakness or weakness accompanied by dark urine, fever, rapid heart rate (palpitations), nausea or vomiting

Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine, if you:

Are allergic to LOPID or any of the other ingredients of this medicine

Have liver disease, severe kidney disease

Have a history of gall stones, bile and gall bladder disease (biliary tract disease)

Have had photoallergy or a phototoxicity reaction

Have high risk of muscle breakdown (rhabdomyolysis)

Have underactive thyroid

Have excessive use of alcohol

Have muscular pain and weakness (muscular toxicity)

Lopid 300 Mg Capsule is used as a prophylaxis for the prevention of heart diseases in patients with multiple risk factors like smoking, age, and history of heart disease.

Lopid 300 Mg is used to lower the levels of fat (lipids) in the blood e.g. the fats known as triglycerides

Lopid 300 Mg can be used with (statins) to reduce the occurrence of heart problems in men who are at high risk and who have increased ‘bad cholesterol’.
