Fluka 150 Mg Capsule Tablet is an anti-fungal drug. It is used to prevent and treat infections caused by fungi and yeasts. It acts by stopping the growth and multiplication of these organisms.

How to Take

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it Fluka 150 Mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Warning

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule can cause moderate to severe side effects on liver and may result in liver failure in rare cases. Any known incidence of liver disease should be reported to the doctor. Dosage adjustments and safety monitoring might be required in such cases.

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule and other medicines of the same group i.e Azoles could cause allergy in some patients. Any such known instance of allergy should be reported to the doctor.

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule may cause a condition where the skin starts to peel off in some patients. If you have had fungal infections in the past, then symptoms of infections should be monitored closely.

Caution is advised while using this medicine in patients with a history of cardiovascular disorder. Suitable dose adjustment and safety monitoring might be required in such cases.

It is recommended to report any history of or active renal disorders to the doctor prior to the start of therapy with this medicine as necessary dosage adjustments may be made by the doctor for the safe use of this medicine.

This medicine may cause dizziness or even seizures in few patients. Hence caution is adviced while driving and operating heavy machinery after taking this medicine.

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule is known to interact with a large number of other medicines and hence it becomes mandatory for you to report the use of all of them to the doctor.

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule may interact with the birth control pill you might be consuming and hence contraception might be ineffective. Alternate means of birth control are to be adopted while you are taking this medicine.

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule must be used with caution in elderly since the effects are more severe, warranting an adjustment in dosage.

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule is used to treat the fungal infection of the oesophagus or the “food pipe” causing odynophagia or painful swallowing.

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule is used to treat meningitis, a rare infection that affects the delicate membranes called meninges that covers the brain and spinal cord, caused by a group of fungi of Cryptococcus strain.

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule is used to treat yeast infection in the female genital organ causing pain, itching and burning sensation with unusual discharge.

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule is used to treat fungal infections of the urinary tract.

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule is used to treat the fungal infection that causes inflammation of the peritoneum, a thin layer of tissue that covers the inside of the abdomen and most of the organs present within the abdomen.

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule is used to treat Candidemia, a condition in which the fungus Candida enters the bloodstream and from the blood to eyes, kidneys, liver and brain causing Invasive candidemia.

Fluka 150 Mg Capsule is used for preventing possible fungal infections in people who are undergoing chemotherapy or have AIDS.
