Donecept 10 Mg Tablet is used in the treatment of dementia associated with Alzheimer’s disease. It is not recommended in patients with gastrointestinal bleeding and lung diseases.

Donecept 10 Mg Tablet comes as a tablet and an orally disintegrating tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day with or without food, in the evening just before bedtime. Your doctor may prescribe to you a low dose initially to decrease the risk of side effects and gradually increase your dose after 4 to 6 weeks. Your doctor may increase your dose again 3 or more months later. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it.

How to take

Take Donecept 10 Mg medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Donecept 10 Mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Donecept 10 Mg is not known whether this medicine is excreted in breast milk. It is not recommended in breastfeeding women unless necessary. The risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

Donecept 10 Mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Use Donecept 10 Mg Tablet at the same time every day. Do not take in larger amounts than advised. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable effects. Do not take this medicine if you have any gastrointestinal disease and lung diseases.
