Silofast 8 Mg Tablet is an antiadrenergic agent used to treat the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (prostate enlargement). Silofast 8 Mg Tablet is not recommended for use in patients suffering from severe kidney function or liver function impairment.

How To Take

Take Silofast 8 Mg Tablet in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Silofast 8 Mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

Avoid Silofast 8 Mg Tabletwith high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.

Silofast 8 Mg Tablet is not recommended for use in pregnant women.

Silofast 8 Mg Tablet is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.

Silofast 8 Mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate liver function impairment due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition. Close monitoring of liver function tests, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Silofast 8 Mg Tablet should be used with caution in the elderly patients due to the increased risk of a very low blood pressure. Regular monitoring of blood pressure levels is necessary for these patients. Report any unusual symptoms such as dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, etc. to the doctor immediately. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Use of Silofast 8 Mg Tablet increases the risk of intraoperative floppy iris syndrome. Patients undergoing cataract surgery should inform the surgeon about the current or previous use of Silofast 8 Mg Tablet, so that the surgeon can make appropriate changes in the surgical technique to reduce the risk of intraoperative floppy iris syndrome.

Use of Silofast 8 Mg Tablet may cause symptoms such as blurred vision, dizziness, etc. in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with Silofast 8 Mg Tablet.
