Lotepred Eye Drop
Lotepred Eye Drop is a steroid used for the treatment of eye swelling which may be caused by surgery, infection, allergies and other conditions. Lotepred Eye Drop medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age.
Lotepred Eye Drop is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy. If your doctor does approve the wearing of contact lenses during treatment with this medication, remove the lenses before using the eye drops. The preservative in this product may be absorbed by contact lenses. Wait at least 15 minutes after each dose of the eye drop before wearing the lenses again.

How to take
Take Lotepred Eye Drop in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

Warning
Lotepred Eye Drop is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. To reduce the amount of Lotepred Eye Drop that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.
Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before putting in these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in.
Uses
Lotepred Eye Drop medicine is used to treat eye swelling caused by an allergic reaction to substances such as pollen, mold spores, etc. it medicine is used to treat steroid-responsive inflammatory conditions such as inflammation of the cornea (keratitis), ciliary body (cyclitis), conjunctiva (conjunctivitis), iris (iritis), ocular rosacea, a condition that causes redness, burning, and itching of eyes and develops along with acne rosacea, etc.
Lotepred Eye Drop medicine is used for the treatment of postoperative swelling and pain associated with eye surgeries.
