Listril 2.5 Mg Tablet helps reduce high blood pressure, thus lowering the chances of any future heart attack and stroke. It may also be used to improve the symptoms of chronic (long standing) heart failure. It helps to preserve kidney function, especially in patients with diabetes. Listril 2.5 Mg may be used alone or in combination with other medicines. It is taken on an empty stomach, preferably at the same time each day. Some patients may develop cough or throat irritation as a side effect while using Listril 2.5 Mg. It may also produce dizziness initially, but this improves with time.

How To Take

Warning

Pregnancy – Listril 2.5 Mg is not recommended for pregnant women.

Breast-feeding – Listril 2.5 Mg is not recommended for women who are breastfeeding.

Hypotension – Symptomatic hypotension may occur in patients with volume depletion or who are treated with high-dose diuretics. Correct the condition before starting Listril 2.5 Mg Tablet or start the treatment at reduced doses.

Hyperkalemia – Listril 2.5 Mg Tablet may cause an increase in the potassium levels in the blood. Use with caution in patients with concomitant use of potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements and in patients with impaired kidney function.

Impaired liver function – Listril 2.5 Mg Tablet may rarely cause liver injuries like jaundice or hepatitis. Discontinue the medicine if any signs of liver injury like increased liver enzyme levels.
