Lenalid 15 Mg affects the immune system. It helps promote immune responses to prevent inflammation in the body. Lenalid 15 Mg treats anemia (a lack of red blood cells in the body) and multiple myeloma (cancer resulting from a progressive blood disease). It is used in patients with myelodysplastic syndrome caused by an abnormal chromosome. This disorder is also called deletion 5q MDS, because part of chromosome 5 is missing. In people with this disorder, the bone marrow does not produce enough healthy blood cells.

How To Take

Take Lenalid 15 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lenalid 15 Mg may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Pregnancy:- Lenalid 15 Mg is not recommended for use in pregnant women due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects on the unborn baby.

Breast-feeding:- Lenalid 15 Mg is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding for a specific period of time or prescribe an alternative medicine based on your clinical condition.

Renal impairment:- Lenalid 15 Mg should be used with caution in patients with kidney diseases due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Regular monitoring of kidney function tests is necessary while receiving this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Hepatic Failure:- Lenalid 15 Mg should be used with extreme caution due to the increased risk of liver failure. This risk is especially higher when it is used in a combination with dexamethasone. Regular monitoring of liver function tests is necessary while receiving this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Uses

Lenalid 15 Mg is used in the treatment of myelodysplastic syndrome, a group of blood disorders characterized by immature cells. It is also used in a combination with dexamethasone for the treatment of multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women as well as in patients less than 18 years of age.
