Hyponat O Tablet

Hyponat O Tablet is used for the treatment of decreased sodium levels (hyponatremia) and autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD), a genetic disorder characterized by the growth of numerous cysts in the kidneys. The first few doses of this medicine need to be taken in the hospital, under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. It is advised that you do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

How To Take

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Hyponat O Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Breast-feeding = Hyponat O is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue the medicine or to discontinue breastfeeding based on your clinical condition.

Liver Damage = Hyponat O should be used with caution due to the increased risk of severe liver injuries. This risk is especially higher if the treatment is continued for more than 30 days. Close monitoring of liver function is recommended during treatment with this medicine. Report any signs and symptoms of liver injuries such as yellowing of the skin or eyes, tiredness, weakness, loss of appetite, etc. to the doctor immediately and discontinue therapy. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Dehydration = Hyponat O should be used with caution due to the increased risk of severe dehydration. It is advised that you consume an adequate amount of water to prevent dehydration during treatment with this medicine. Close monitoring of clinical condition and electrolyte status, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Use in Children = Hyponat O is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.
