Eutropin 4iu Injection
Eutropin 4iu Injection is a form of human growth hormone used to treat growth failure in children and adults. It is used to treat growth deficiencies due to various conditions such as Noonan syndrome, short stature at birth with no catch-up growth, and other causes. It may also be used to treat short bowel syndrome and to prevent severe weight loss in patients suffering from AIDS.

Severe illness = Eutropin 4iu Injection should be administered with caution in patients with an acute and severe illness. Use of this medicine should be discontinued if the symptoms of the illness worsen.
Relapse of cancer = Eutropin 4iu Injection should be used with extreme caution in patients, especially children, who have undergone treatment for cancer. Use of this medicine may cause a relapse and hence regular clinical monitoring is advised.
Diabetes Mellitus = Eutropin 4iu Injection should be used with caution in patients with diabetes due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, and monitoring of blood glucose levels may be necessary while receiving this medicine. An alternative treatment option may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.
Intracranial hypertension = Eutropin 4iu Injection may cause increased pressure around the brain, causing visual disturbances, severe headaches, nausea, and vomiting. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience these symptoms regularly after receiving this medicine.
Fluid retention = Eutropin 4iu Injection may cause fluid retention in adults. Patients may experience muscle and joint pain, tiredness, etc. for transient periods while receiving this medicine. Contact your doctor if these symptoms are persistent.
Uses
Eutropin 4iu Injection is used for the treatment of growth failure due to inadequate secretion of the growth hormone. It is used to treat growth hormone deficiency in both children and adults. The lack of growth hormone in adults may or may not be coupled with multiple hormone deficiencies.
Eutropin 4iu Injection is used to treat extreme weight loss and muscle wasting in adults and children caused due to severe chronic illnesses such as AIDS and certain forms of cancer.
Eutropin 4iu Injection is used along with dietary adjustments and nutritional supplementation to treat short bowel syndrome in adults. Short bowel syndrome is a malabsorption disorder caused by a lack of functional small intestine, causing severe diarrhea, malnutrition, and weight loss.
Eutropin 4iu Injection is used to treat growth failure in girls associated with a congenital defect called Turner’s syndrome.
Eutropin 4iu Injection is used to treat short stature in children, which is not attributed to the lack of growth hormone secretion.
