Erythromycin 500 Mg Tablet is a macrolide antibiotic which is used to treat infections of the lungs, throat, ear, etc. caused by bacteria. Erythromycin 500 Mg medicine is not recommended for use in case of a common cold, flu, or other viral infections since it is active against infections caused by bacteria only.

Erythromycin 500 Mg Tabletusually is taken every 6 hours (four times a day), every 8 hours (three times a day), or every 12 hours (twice a day). Skipping doses should be avoided as it may increase your risk of further infection which is resistant to antibiotics. Erythromycin 500 Mg medicine with or without food, as directed by the doctor.
