Duovir-E Kitis a nucleoside analogue. It is used in combination with other medications to treat HIV infection. Duovir-E Kit functions by interfering with the growth of the HIV infection. On using this medication you may experience side effects such as nausea, joint pain, difficulty sleeping, diarrhea, cough, dizziness, swelling of the mouth, headache, reduced appetite, weakness, vomiting, darkening of the urine, numbness, mental/ mood disorders, ear pain, itchiness, sore throat and chest pain. If your reactions persist or worsen over time seek the help of your health care provider right away.

Drug = Lamivudine + Zidovudine + Efavirenz

Strength = 150 Mg + 300 Mg + 600 Mg

How To Take

Take Duovir-E Kit medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Duovir-E Kit is to be taken empty stomach. Taking this medicine with food increases the risk of side effects.

Warning

Duovir-E Kit is unsafe to consume alcohol with Duovir-E Kit. Taking Efavirenz with alcohol may cause liver problems.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Duovir-E Kit is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Duovir-E Kit is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Duovir-E Kit may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Duovir-E Kit should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Duovir-E Kit may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Duovir-E Kit is not recommended in patients with moderate and severe liver disease.
