Calaptin 40 Mg Tablet, a class-IV antiarrhythmic is used for treating patients with high blood pressure, supraventricular tachycardia, chest pain due insufficient blood flow to the heart. It may also be used for cluster headaches or migraines. It works by relaxation of blood vessels for easy blood flow.

The drug should be taken as per doctor’s advice. It should be avoided if the person is allergic to any of its ingredients. It may cause dizziness and hence driving vehicles or heavy machinery that requires extreme alertness should be done safely.

How To Take

Take Calaptin 40 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Calaptin 40 Mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

Warning

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of low blood pressure, heart, kidney or liver problems, muscular dystrophy, neuromuscular disease, cancer, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

It may cause dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery and get up slowly from bed while taking this medication.

Avoid alcohol consumption.

Monitor liver function, kidney function, complete blood cell counts, electrocardiogram (ECG), and blood pressure regularly while taking this medication.
