Asthalin Inhaler is a bronchodilator medicine that relaxes the muscles of the airways leading to the lung and improves the amount of air flow to and from the lungs. Asthalin Inhaler is used to prevent and treat the symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

How to Take

Check the label for directions before use. Shake the inhaler. While you are breathing in from mouth, press down on the inhaler one time to release the medication and hold your breath for 10 seconds. Repeat until you have inhaled the number of puffs as suggested by the doctor.Afterwards, rinse your mouth thoroughly with water and spit it out.

Side Effects

Shaking and trembling of arms and feet

Irregular heartbeat

Coughing

Difficulty in breathing

Swelling of face, lips, eyelids, tongue, hands and feet

Skin rash and spotting

Agitation and anxiety

Headache

Muscle pain and cramps

Sleep disturbances

Difficulty in passing urine

Warning

Asthalin Inhaler is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. Consult your doctor and discuss the risks and benefits of use before using this medicine.

Asthalin Inhaler is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as the effect on the nursing infant is not clinically established. Your doctor may ask you to discontinue breastfeeding if the use of this medicine is necessary.

Report the use of all medications including herbs and supplements to the doctor before receiving salbutamol.

Report the past/present incidence of all diseases including heart and blood vessels disorder, electrolyte imbalance, any disease associated with thyroid and other glands etc to the doctor. All the other conditions should be considered before therapy with this medicine is initiated.

Use of Asthalin Inhaler can cause a decrease in blood potassium levels and hence should be administered with caution in patients suffering from Hypokalemia.

Use of Asthalin Inhaler has been associated with worsening of asthma symptoms in some instances. Contact your doctor immediately if breathing becomes more difficult after using this medicine. The use of Salbutamol should stop immediately in such cases.

Uses

Asthalin Inhaler is used to prevent or treat acute attacks of asthma characterized by a sudden and severe difficulty in breathing.

Asthalin Inhaler is used to prevent or reverse airway obstruction in patients who suffer from asthma or reverse airway obstruction due to bronchospasm.

Asthalin Inhaler is used to prevent and treat the symptoms associated with a group of lung diseases that block airflow and make it very difficult to breathe.

Asthalin Inhaler is used to relieve and prevent the symptoms of this condition where the walls of the airways swell, making breathing very difficult.

Asthalin Inhaler is also sometimes used to prevent and delay labor in cases where the chances of premature birth are very high.
