Acitrom 1 Mg
Acitrom 1 Mg is an anticoagulant or blood thinner which is used in the treatment and prevention of abnormal blood clots. This medicine does not dissolve the blood clot that has already formed but may prevent it from becoming larger and leading to more serious problems. Close monitoring of INR and prothrombin time is necessary during treatment with this medicine.

How to Take
Take Acitrom 1 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Acitrom 1 Mg may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Acitrom 1 Mg is not recommended for use in pregnant women due to the increased risk of serious fetalharm.
Acitrom 1 Mg is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. If the medicine is used, close monitoring of the infant for any undesired side effects is necessary. Discuss all the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking this medicine.
Caution is advised while using this medicine in patients with mild to moderate hepatic impairment due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Acitrom 1 Mg is not recommended for use in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
Acitrom 1 Mg should be used with extreme caution in children and adolescents with close monitoring of PT/INR due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Appropriate dose adjustments should be done based on the clinical condition.
Initiate Acitrom 1 Mg therapy with lower doses in patients above 65 years of age due to the increased risk of adverse effects.
Acitrom 1 Mg is used in the treatment and prevention of thromboembolism that may occur after an acute myocardial infarction, post cardiac stent implant and cardiac valve replacement. It can also be used as a prophylaxis for Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), in preventing thromboembolism during a prolonged hospitalization after a critical illness and in non-valvular atrial fibrillation.
