Yasmin Tablet (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) is a combination birth control pill containing female hormones that prevent ovulation (the release of an egg from an ovary).
Yasmin Tablet also causes changes in your cervical mucus and uterine lining, making it harder for sperm to reach the uterus and harder for a fertilized egg to attach to the uterus.
Yasmin Tablet is used as contraception to prevent pregnancy.
Yasmin Tablet is a combination medicine used for oral contraception (prevention of pregnancy). Yasmin Tablet is also used for the treatment of acne vulgaris in women who desire oral contraception. Yasmin Tablet medicine is not recommended for use in patients yet to achieve menarche (the first occurrence of menstruation) and who are below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy are not clinically established.

How To Take
Take Yasmin Tablet medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Yasmin Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Take Yasmin Tablet medicine by mouth as directed by your doctor, with or without food, usually once daily. Pick a time of day that is easy for you to remember, and take your pill at the same time each day, 24 hours apart. TakingYasmin Tablet medicine after your evening meal or at bedtime may help decrease stomach upset and nausea.
Follow the package instructions to find the first tablet, start with the first tablet in the pack, and take them in the correct order. Do not skip any doses. Pregnancy is more likely if you miss pills, start a new pack late, or take your pill at a different time of the day than usual.
Irregular uterine bleeding

Yasmin Tablet is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Your doctor may suggest alternate means of contraception based on your clinical condition.
Yasmin Tablet should be used with extreme caution in patients with a history of liver diseases due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. You may require a dose adjustment and more frequent clinical monitoring to safely use these medicines together. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition.

Use of Yasmin Tablet may rarely cause symptoms such as dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.
Use of Yasmin Tablet can cause yellowing of the eyes and skin due to its effect on the liver and the gall bladder. Report the presence of any symptom indicative of jaundice to the doctor on priority. Use of Yasmin Tablet medicine should be stopped in such cases.
This Yasmin Tablet medicine is a combination of 2 hormones: an estrogen (ethinyl estradiol) and a progestin (drospirenone). Yasmin Tablet product is used to prevent pregnancy. It works mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. If a fertilized egg does not attach to the uterus, it passes out of the body.
Besides preventing pregnancy, birth control pills may make your periods more regular, decrease blood loss and painful periods, and decrease your risk of ovarian cysts.
Using Yasmin Tablet does not protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia)
