Desowen Cream is a topical corticosteroid that helps to reduce skin inflammation and irritation caused by certain mild to severe skin conditions.

If you have had measles, TB, shingles, chickenpox recently, alert your doctor to this information. The fact that Desowen Cream is a cream applied on the skin, makes it safer to use as there is little chance of it interacting with another medicine. Taking oral corticosteroids may affect the effectiveness of the medicine.

How To Take

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Growth Retardation = Desowen Cream may cause growth retardation in some children. Therefore, children receiving this medicine should be monitored closely with regard to growth parameters. The dose should be titrated to the minimum effective dose to reduce the chances of such side effects. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.
