Daonil 5 Mg Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Daonil 5 Mg helps to control blood sugar levels and thus prevent the long-term complications of diabetes. Use Daonil 5 Mg medicine along with a proper diet and exercise for best results. It may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) as a side effect. How To Take

Warning

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Daonil 5 Mg Tablet. Alcohol intake may increase or decrease the blood sugar lowering action in an unpredictable way

Daonil 5 Mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.

Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Daonil 5 Mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Monitor the breastfed baby’s blood sugar during treatment with Daonil 5 MgTablet

Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is low or high. If this happens, do not drive.

Daonil 5 Mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with kidney disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.

Daonil 5 Mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Daonil Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Use of Daonil 5 Mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease. They can experience very low blood sugar levels while taking this medicine.

Uses

Daonil 5 Mg are an oral diabetes medication used to control blood sugar levels in people with mild to moderate type-2 diabetes mellitus (also called noninsulin-dependent diabetes or maturity onset diabetes) who are unable to achieve adequate glycaemic control (normal blood sugar levels) with diet and exercise alone.

Daonil 5 Mg can be used alone as monotherapy, in conjunction with diet and exercise, or in combination with other antihyperglycaemic medication (lowers blood sugar), like metformin, when a single drug does not provide adequate glycaemic control. If Daonil 5 Mg tablets 5 Mg become less effective, they can be given together with insulin.

Diabetes increases the risk of serious health complications, including diabetic retinopathy (damage to the retina in the eye with loss of vision), diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage) and diabetic nephropathy (kidney damage). Maintaining glycaemic control with Daonil 5 Mg tablets 5 Mg reduces the risk of developing these vascular complications.
