Cytoblastin Injection
Cytoblastin Injection is used to treat various types of cancer, especially breast cancer and leukemia, which is cancer of the white blood cells. It is also used to treat bladder cancer, certain types of lung cancer and sarcomas, and some brain tumors. It is often used together with other chemotherapy drugs. It is available in the form of a powder or a solution, and is administered intravenously. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancerous cells.

Warning
Cytoblastin Injection must be given only by intravenous administration. Taking Vinblastine by any other route can result in fatality.
Do not use when significant granulocytopenia is present, unless this is caused by the disease being treated.
Do not use in cases of bacterial infections. The infections must be brought under control prior to the initiation of therapy with vinblastine sulfate.
Uses
Cytoblastin Injection is a cancer treatment. The active ingredient is called Vinblastine Sulphate. Vinblastine is classified as a vinca alkaloid. It is indicated in the treatment of Hodgkin’s disease, lymphocytic lymphoma, histiocytic lymphoma, mycosis fungoides, carcinoma of the testes, Kaposi’s sarcoma and Letterer-Siwe disease (histiocytosis X). Cytoblastin Injection works by inhibiting microtubule formation in the mitotic spindle within cancer cells, which slows the spread and replication of the cancer cells.
