Crestor 10 Mg is used to reduce the level of bad cholesterol in the body. It is also used in the treatment of long-term complications such as heart disease or stroke. A proper diet and regular exercise should be maintained along with taking this medicine. Moreover, this medicine is used in reducing the amount of cholesterol in children and patients between 10 to 17 years of age suffering from hypercholesterolemia (a genetic disorder).

How to Take

Take Crestor 10 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Crestor 10 Mgmay be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Warning

Crestor 10 Mg is not recommended for use in pregnant women.

Crestor 10 Mg is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.

Crestor 10 Mg may cause forgetfulness, memory loss, confusion, etc. in some patients. These side effects are reversible and usually disappear once the medicine is discontinued.

Crestor 10 Mg may cause an alteration in the blood sugar levels. This risk is especially higher in patients with diabetes mellitus. Close monitoring of blood sugar levels may be necessary based on the clinical condition. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative should be done under your doctor’s supervision.
