Coverit – 5% Solution is a medicine used in the treatment of male pattern baldness. It is most effective in treating familial hair loss or thinning at the top of the scalp, not in front. This medicine helps to stimulate hair growth by increasing the blood circulation to the hair follicles. However, the amount of hair growth is different for each person. During the first 2 weeks of application, your hair fall may increase temporarily. This is normal and is a sign that Minoxidil is working. This medicine should strictly be taken according to the doctor’s advice.

Coverit – 5% Solution may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Coverit – 5% Solution is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.

Uses

Coverit – 5% Solution and foam are used to help hair growth in the treatment of male pattern baldness. It is not used for baldness at the front of the scalp or receding hairline in men. The foam and 2 percent minoxidil solution is also used to help hair growth in women with thinning hair.
