A-Ret 0.1% Gel
A-Ret 0.1% Gel is prescribed to patients with severe acne problems. The drug effectively treats acne and reduces the amount of pimples that tend to develop, while healing pimples that have already developed on the body. The group of medicines that the drug belongs to is known as retinoids. The drug affects skin cell growth in the body regulating the amount of pimples that crop up.

How To Take
A-Ret 0.1% Gel is usually applied to the face once a day in the evening, following steps listed below:
Gently wash your face with a mild soap.Pat the skin dry and wait 20-30 minutes before applying A RET
Take a small amount of this medicine (the size of a pearl about ¼ inch or 5mm diameter) on your fingertip and apply to your face.This should be enough to cover your affected area lightly
Be careful when applying A-Ret 0.1% Gel to avoid your eyes, ears, nostrils, angles of the nose and mouth.

A-Ret 0.1% Gel may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
A-Ret 0.1% Gel is unsafe to use during lactation. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby, or the mother is suffering from a condition in which breastfeeding is not advisable.
Exposure to sun
Use of this medicine can cause adverse reactions of the skin on sun exposure. You should either avoid stepping out at daytime or take appropriate precautionary measures.
Other skin creams
This medicine may interact with other skin care or medicinal products. Consult your doctor before starting the use of other products along with this medicine.
Contraception
Appropriate means of birth control should be adopted while using this medicine. It can cause oral/hormonal contraception failure and hence use of multiple contraception is advised. Contact your doctor immediately if you suspect a pregnancy while using this medicine.
Initial discomfort
This medicine may cause discomfort after use in some people. Contact your doctor if the symptoms do not subside or become severe.
Uses
Acne vulgaris = A-Ret 0.1% Gel is used to prevent and treat pimples. It also reduces the occurrence of new pimple breakout and promotes the healing of the skin.
Wrinkled and rough/mottled skin = A-Ret 0.1% Gel is used for management of wrinkles, rough patches, and patchy skin color associated with excess UV/sunlight exposure. It is mostly used in combination with other medicines.
Acute promyelocytic leukemia
This medicine is also used orally under specific circumstances to treat a cancer of the blood where the affected cells fail to mature properly.
