Minirin Nasal Spray is the synthetic form of the hormone vasopressin (ADH), which helps in the conservation of water in the body. Minirin Nasal Spray medicine is used to treat diabetes insipidus, a condition characterized by intense thirst and heavy urination. The oral form of Minirin Nasal Spray medicine is also used to treat bedwetting. The injectable and nasal forms of Minirin Nasal Spray medicine are also used to maintain hemostasis (stop/reduce bleeding) in patients suffering from conditions such as Von Willebrand disease and hemophilia A.

Minirin Nasal Spray is used to control the amount of urine your kidneys make. Normally, the amount of urine you make is controlled by a certain substance in the body called vasopressin. In people who have “water diabetes” (diabetes insipidus) or certain kinds of head injury or brain surgery, the body does not make enough vasopressin. Desmopressin is a man-made form of vasopressin and is used to replace a low level of vasopressin. Minirin Nasal Spray medication helps to control increased thirst and too much urination due to these conditions, and helps prevent dehydration.

How to take

Take Minirin Nasal Spraymedicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow Minirin Nasal Sprayas a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Minirin Nasal SprayTablet may be taken with or without food, but Minirin Nasal Spray is better to take it at a fixed time.
