Ismo 20 Mg Tablet is a long acting medicine used in heart-related chest pain (angina) caused due to narrowing of blood vessels. It is only useful in preventing an episode of angina and does not work well once the chest pain has already started.
Ismo 20 Mg should be used along with lifestyle changes like healthy diet, regular exercise and smoking cessation for best results. It has to be taken strictly as per the dosing schedule as prescribed by your doctor. It should not be stopped abruptly. Dizziness and headache may be seen as side effects initially, which improve with time.

How To Take
Take Ismo 20 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ismo 20 Mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually twice a day. Each day, take the first dose when you wake up, then take the second dose 7 hours later. It is important to take the drug at the same times each day. Do not change the dosing times unless directed by your doctor.
Use Ismo 20 Mg regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when the drug is suddenly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased.

Ismo 20 Mg is not recommended for use by women who are breastfeeding. Your doctor may prescribe an alternate medicine or ask you to stop breastfeeding if the medicine has to be used.
Report the incidence of all other diseases of the heart, lung, thyroid, kidney, liver etc to the doctor before receiving this medicine. All these conditions should be taken into consideration to ensure safe and effective use of this medicine.
Use of this medicine can cause a fall in blood pressure in general and may make you feel dizzy especially while getting up from lying or sitting position (Postural hypotension).
Use of Ismo 20 Mg can cause drowsiness and affect the ability to drive or operate heavy machinery. Refrain from performing tasks that require a high level of mental alertness after taking this medicine.
