Frusenex 100 Mg Tablet is a diuretic which is used to control high blood pressure and edema. It is usually taken once daily, preferably in the daytime to prevent sleep disturbances. Frequent monitoring of blood pressure and electrolytes level is necessary.
Frusenex 100 Mg Tablet is a diuretic. It removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. In doing so, it causes potassium loss.
Frusenex 100 Mg Tablet is used for Fluid retention, Treatment of edema, Acutehypotension, Treatment of hypertension and other conditions. Frusenex 100 Mg Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

How To Take
Take Frusenex 100 Mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Frusenex 100 Mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Frusenex 100 Mg Tablet. Taking Furosemide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Frusenex 100 Mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Frusenex 100 Mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Frusenex 100 Mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Frusenex 100 Mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Frusenex 100 Tablet is recommended.
However, use of Frusenex 100 Tablet is not recommended in severe kidney disease patients who are unable to pass urine or the kidney damage is due to some medicines. Please inform your doctor.
Frusenex 100 Mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Frusenex 100 Mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Frusenex 100 Mg (Frusemide) is a diuretic derived from anthranilic acid which treats fluid retention (oedema) and high blood pressure by limiting salt absorption. It is sometimes spelled furosemide. Indications for this medicine include oedema (fluid retention) caused by hepatic cirrhosis, nephrotic syndrome and congestive heart failure. High blood pressure has also been treated with it, and it may be used on its own or alongside other medicines for this condition.
