Foracort Rotacaps 200 does contain a steroid. It also contains a bronchodilator. Although steroids can cause weight gain, when they are inhaled as Foracort Rotacaps 200  is, the risk of side effects like that are pretty rare.

How To Take

Foracort Rotacaps 200  must not be swallowed. Check the label for directions before use. Place the capsule at the base of rotahaler, not in the mouthpiece. Twist the mouthpiece completely until your hear a click and breathe in deeply through the mouthpiece. Hold your breath for up to 10 seconds. If some powder remains in the rotahaler repeat the process.

Breast-feeding :- Foracort Rotacaps 200   is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before using this medicine. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding or to discontinue the medicine based on your clinical condition.

Thyrotoxicosis or hyperthyroidism :-Foracort Rotacaps 200  should be used with caution in patients with a known history of thyrotoxicosis or hyperthyroidism due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition. You may require a dose adjustment and more frequent clinical monitoring to safely use this medicine. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Hypokalemia :-Foracort Rotacaps 200  should be used with caution in patients with a known history of hypokalemia (low blood potassium levels) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition. Close monitoring of potassium levels, appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.
