Clofi 100 Mg
Clofi 100 Mg is prescribed to treat infertility in women caused by ovulation problems. Clofi 100 Mgis most likely effective in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), amenorrhea-galactorrhoea syndrome, psychogenic amenorrhoea, post-oral-contraceptive amenorrhoea and other secondary cases of amenorrhoea. Clofi 100 Mg is also used in treating male infertility by increasing spermatogenesis and is found effective in treating secondary male hypogonadism.
Clofi 100 Mg contains 100 Mg of the active ingredient Clomiphene citrate. Clofi 100 Mgis an anti-oestrogen which works by blocking the oestrogen receptors in the hypothalamus. Oestrogen sends negative feedback to the pituitary gland preventing it from releasing hormones that control the production and release of an egg. With blocked oestrogen receptors, the signals to the pituitary gland is stopped thereby increasing the hormones to stimulate the ovaries in making and releasing an egg for ovulation. Clofi 100 Mgdoes not immediately produce an ovulation but starts a chain reaction that leads to an ovulation.In addition to Clofi 100 Mg in treating infertility, properly timed sexual intercourse is also necessary.

Patients taking Clofi 100 Mg usually ovulate within 5 to 10 days of taking clomiphene. If the patient failed to ovulate after the first course of therapy, a second course of 100 Mg per day for 5 days may be started, 30 days following initial course. A third course may also be given if needed.

Clofi 100 Mg may also be used for the suppression of lactation and for oligospermia, with an adult dose of 25 Mg to 100 Mg once a day over a period of several months.
The recommended use of Clofi 100 Mg should not exceed 3 treatment courses as it will increase the risk of having ovarian tumor. Therapy exceeding 3 courses should only be done if advised by a physician.
