Acto Pred 4 Mg Tablet is a steroid, which prevents the release of certain chemicals in the body that result in inflammation. The drug is quite effective in the treatment of a number of inflammatory health problems such as gland disorders, lupus, arthritis, psoriasis as well as ulcerative colitis. It also treats various other inflammatory conditions of the lungs, skin, eyes, blood cells, stomach and nervous system of the body.

How To Take
Acto Pred 4 Mg Tablet should only be taken orally as directed by a doctor. The tablets should be taken with a meal or with a glass of milk. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment as it will depend on the condition being treated and the patients response to the therapy. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor as abruptly stopping the treatment may cause a relapse in the condition or severe withdrawal symptoms.

Feeling high (mania) or moods that go up and down
Round or moon-shaped face (Cushingoidfacies)
Damage to the optic nerve or cataracts (indicated by failing eyesight)
Slowing of normal growth in infants, children and adolescents which may be permanent
High blood pressure, symptoms of which are headaches, or generally feeling unwell
Swelling and high blood pressure, caused by increased levels of water and salt content
Feeling anxious, having problems sleeping, difficulty in thinking or being confused and losing your memory
Feeling, seeing or hearing things which do not exist. having strange and frightening thoughts, changing how you act or having feelings of being alone
Cramps and spasms, due to the loss of potassium from your body. in rare cases this can lead to congestive heart failure
Acne, poor wound healing, thinning of skin
Stomach pain, bleeding from the back passage, black or bloodstained stools, vomiting blood
Pregnancy = Acto Pred 4 Mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation = Acto Pred 4 Mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving = Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Undesirable effects, such as dizziness, vertigo, visual disturbances and fatigue are possible after treatment with Acto Pred 4 Mg Tablet. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney = Acto Pred 4 Mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Acto Pred 4 Mg Tablet is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver = There is limited information available on the use of Acto Pred 4 Mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
