Falcigo 120 Mg Injection, a derivative of artemisinin is a water-soluble hemisuccinate. It is very effective in the treatment of sever malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum strains when other medicines fail to show positive results. However, it cannot be used to prevent malaria. Falcigo 120 Mg Injection can be given by injection into a vein or a muscle, or taken by mouth.

Warning

Pregnancy: Use of Falcigo 120 Mg Injection in pregnant women is not recommended unless absolutely necessary. The effect of this medicine on pregnancy is not clearly established and hence should be used only in life-threatening situations.

Breast-feeding: Use of Falcigo 120 Mg Injection while breastfeeding is not recommended unless necessary. Your doctor will determine whether or not to use this medicine.

Severe malaria: Falcigo 120 Mg Injection should be used to treat malaria only when it is severe and other medicines like quinine are proving to be ineffective.

Medicine induced fever: Falcigo 120 Mg Injection can cause fever as a side effect.

Liver/kidney impairment: Falcigo 120 Mg Injection should be used with caution in patients having an impaired liver/kidney function. If the impairment is very severe then the use of this medicine should be avoided.

Uses

Falcigo 120 Mg is used to treat malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum strain of the parasite. It may also be used for the treatment of malaria that are resistant to other medicines.
